The sight that first greets me when I step out of the car is that of Paige Turco rolling around on the Santa Monica beach.
With the sun high in the sky and a gentle breeze caressing the sand, Paige appears like a mermaid sent to take me away to the depths of Atalntis. As soon as she sees me, the beautiful brown eyed nymph is on her feet and greeting me with a smile so broad, it dampens the gleaming orb in the sky. “This is so much fun,” she beams. Fun yes… but I like it too.
Paige Turco started her career as a ballet dancer before an injury forced her to redirect her energies. Loving the arts, she turned her focus on drama and musical comedies. After acting college, Paige gained notice playing Melanie Cortlandt Rampal, a virtuous country ingenue on the ABC soap All My Children. She next appeared as resourceful TV reporter April O’Neil in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret Of The Ooze and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III. The small screen offered more conventional challenges for Turco however, where she played a struggling actress and single mother on Winnetka Road. Paige soon turned the tables on her good girl image, playing a pregnant lesbian on NYPD Blue and an alcoholic, single mother on Party Of Five.
